Destination Specialist (Italy)
Dianne Lee
Dianne developed a fascination for travel from an early age which truly took hold after spending a year as an exchange student in Denmark. Upon returning to Australia, she turned her passion into a career, working as a tour guide before continuing in the travel industry, helping clients plan and experience their own adventures.
Three years as a Japan Destination Specialist at RAW Travel gave Dianne the opportunity to explore some of Japan’s incredible trails, including the Kumano Kodo, Nakasendo Way, and Michinoku Coastal Trail while discovering the country’s beautiful landscapes and unique culture. Now part of RAW Travel’s ‘Team Italy’, Di’s love of Italy extends beyond the trails. Past adventures in Italy include truffle hunting, wine making in Tuscany and Umbria, hiking the Dolomites and Cinque Terre, and simply enjoying all of Italy’s rich culture and traditions.
I’m also a passionate distance runner and avid hiker, having completed 11 marathons—including the Ferrari Marathon in Italy and the Nagai Marathon in Japan—as well as dozens of half marathons in Australia and overseas. Other recent hiking adventures include the Inca Trail in Peru, the High Tatras in Slovakia, the Lycian Way in Türkiye, Kashmir, the Swiss Alps and New Zealand. Always with another adventure on the horizon, Dianne is already planning the next one!
