Head shot of tour guide Ludo Touitou in the forest in Okinawa, Japan

Guide (Japan)

Ludovic Touitou

Ludo was born and raised on the foothills of the French Alps where he spent his childhood kayaking in whitewater and skiing. Japan became his home in 1999 after his first stay as an exchange student.

After a first professional life working for a Japanese manufacturer as an international salesperson in Tokyo, he fell in love with Okinawa and moved there in 2021 with a new life mission – to help people around the world discover the beauty of the Island and its people. The ‘adventure travel’ philosophy of respecting nature and communities imposed itself as the natural way to reach that goal.

Ludo currently operates as a local guide, marine activities instructor, photographer and writer. He also develops adventure tourism activities such as ‘sabani’ traditional wooden boating.

In his spare time, he enjoys diving with his little tribe in coral reefs, tasting the local food, and just walking around with his camera. You can contact him for information or a friendly drink, anytime.
