Svolvær
Svolvær is the vibrant capital of Norway’s Lofoten Islands. It blends Arctic adventure with coastal charm. Set against a backdrop of jagged peaks and deep fjords, this small town is a gateway to some of Norway’s most stunning landscapes.
Hustinden
Hustinden is one of the most photographed mountains in the Lofoten Islands. Rising to 691m it offers a challenging yet rewarding hike with panoramic views of the surrounding sea and mountains. The trail encompasses a variety of landscapes, including bogs, rugged peaks and lakes.
Kvalvika Beach
Kvalvika Beach is a breathtaking, remote cove nestled between towering cliffs on the northern coast of Moskenesøya. Accessible only by foot, this pristine beach offers a serene escape into nature. The hike to the summit of Ryten (543m) rewards hikers with panoramic views over turquoise waters and white sands.
Narvtinden
From Reine, several stunning summits are within reach, including Narvtinden (688m), Reinebringen (448m), Veinestinden (730m) and Munken (797m). Each route offers its own unique vantage point over the iconic peaks and fjords of the region.

Nusfjord
Nusfjord is one of the country’s oldest and best-preserved fishing villages. With roots tracing back to 425 BC, this secluded harbour once thrived during the cod fishing boom of the early 20th century. Today, Nusfjord has transformed into an open-air museum and boutique resort, offering visitors a blend of historical charm and modern comfort. The village’s iconic red and ochre rorbuer (fishermen’s cabins) have been meticulously restored, allowing guests to experience authentic coastal living. The hike up Tønsåsheia (769m) offers a rewarding challenge.
Nonstinden
Nonstinden, rising to 459m above the fishing village of Ballstad, offers a rewarding hike with panoramic views of the Vestfjord, Ballstad, and the surrounding peaks. The trail is considered easy to moderate, making it accessible to hikers with a reasonable fitness level.
Ballstad
Surrounded by dramatic peaks and serene waters, this village offers a visual feast for visitors. Its rich fishing heritage is evident in the traditional red rorbuer (fishermen’s cabins) lining the harbour, some of which have been converted into cozy accommodations for travellers.
Henningsvær
This charming fishing village spread across small islands in the Lofoten archipelago is known as the “Venice of the North.” Famous for its vibrant arts scene, stunning natural scenery, and one of the world’s most scenic football fields, it’s a perfect blend of culture and adventure in a breathtaking coastal setting.
Skrova
Skrova, often dubbed the ‘Hawaii of Lofoten’, is a serene island paradise just 30 minutes by ferry from Svolvær. This picturesque community, with a population of under 200, offers a blend of natural beauty, rich history and vibrant culture.
