Liz Crouch

Liz is a world traveller, fitness enthusiast and philanthropist originally from Rochester, New York. She graduated from SUNY Oswego with a degree in Cinema Studies and Health and Sciences before embarking on a career in the cruise industry as a Youth Entertainment Programmer.

After a year at sea, Liz returned to her hometown to work as a personal trainer and yoga instructor. Looking to combine her love for fitness and passion for travel, she then transitioned to become an international hiking and biking guide, guiding clients on some of the world’s most beautiful roads and trails throughout Europe, Asia, and North America for over 9 years.

Some of Liz’s notable hikes in the USA include the National Parks of Hawaii, Zion and the Grand Canyon. In Europe, she led extensive multi-day bike and hike journeys through various regions of France and Spain. One of her favourite trails to guide was on the Camino del Norte through the Basque Country of Northern Spain. In the autumn of 2017, Liz would complete her own Camino journey hiking on the Camino Francés route from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago.

Liz and her partner eventually settled in Melbourne, Australia, where she continues to explore new hiking and biking trails throughout Victoria. In her free time, she enjoys teaching yoga and volunteering for philanthropic projects. One of her long-term goals is to make solo active travel more accessible for women. Her group Biking with Strangers, which she founded in 2014, encourages solo cyclists to join her on various multi-day bike journeys.

Liz looks forward to bringing her experiences to the team and clients at RAW Travel, where she can combine her passion for travel, fitness, and helping others to create unique and meaningful travel experiences.
