Dave Norris
Dave is an experienced International Mountain Leader and all-round outdoor educator. He is also a Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor, the highest UK mountaineering qualification and delivers winter/summer CPDs for BAIML trekking guides.
After completing 22 years in the British Army, mainly delivering adventure training, he worked as an outdoor trainer in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, France, Germany and the UAE. Dave still works with the UK military delivering Development courses summer and winter.
As well as leading treks for RAW, he runs his own adventure company, Amont Guide, with his wife Louise, also an International Mountain Leader, in the foothills of the French Pyrenees. Dave believes there are many beautiful wild places that have lasting memories but it is the people you meet along the way that make them stay in your mind.When Dave is not guiding treks, you’ll find him cycling, paddling, skiing, climbing, snowshoeing and listening to music – loud!
