Liz Crouch
Liz is one of RAW’s Camino Destination specialists. Her career is a testament to her unmatched expertise in active travel. She has sailed around the world organising excursions on cruise liners, and has guided hiking and biking adventures across Asia, Europe and North America. Her work with major active travel companies has involved expanding product offerings and creating innovative adventure experiences.
Originally from New York, Liz now calls Melbourne home, where she has traded her travel rucksack for a cosy two-bedroom apartment and a rescue greyhound named Archie. This shift follows more than 12 years of globe-trotting by foot, bike and boat, but it hasn’t stopped her from seeking new adventures whenever possible.
One of Liz’s passion projects is Biking with Strangers, which she founded in 2014. It welcomes cyclists of all levels to join her on multi-day biking journeys around the world. One of her most epic trips was cycling more than 17,000 km along the Pacific Coast of the USA from the San Juan Islands to Los Angeles.
Recently, Liz returned from hiking Spain’s Camino del Norte, an incredible coastal route she has previously guided walkers along. She is eager to make this remote and lesser-known Camino trail more accessible to others.
