International Mountain Leader (European Alps)

Becki Penrose

Becki is a qualified International Mountain Leader with 20 years experience guiding groups in the great outdoors. Becki has led groups on expeditions and mountain treks in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Morocco, Bolivia and China. She has has worked for numerous outdoor centres and as a freelance outdoor instructor in Wales, Scotland and the Peak District. As well as canoeing and kayaking on the UK’s beautiful lakes and rivers, she has explored below ground on caving trips. 

Becki has a soft spot for the mountains and rivers. She loves trekking, white water kayaking, skiing and trail running in the French and Swiss Alps, as well as in Bavaria, Austria and Slovenia.

Becki is leading some of our Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) treks. She is inspired by the the stunning views of the Mont Blanc range on the Circuit Trek and the diverse and spectacular scenery that the TMB offers, from the impressive glaciers (Argentière, Mer de Glace and Bossons) seen from the Grand Balcon Sud above Chamonix itself to the more gentle scenery and beautiful wild flowers of the high alpages (mountain pastures). 

Becki has a special interest in the flora and fauna of the Alps and loves sharing her knowledge with fellow trekkers.
