B-Corp – Dave Reynolds

As the owner of RAW Travel, Dave believes B-Corp is a great way to benchmark the progress of a company that believes in ethical practices and a better way of doing business. Since RAW’s inception, RAW Travel has been contributing back to charitable causes and running trips that benefit communities with minimal environmental impacts. So being a B-Corp is an exciting way to formalise these commitments and join a community of like-minded businesses.

The initiatives RAW Travel are part of; supporting selected local & overseas causes and ongoing tree planting, collecting ocean plastics, micro-finance give Dave a great deal of pride and satisfaction that the RAW Travel team can contribute meaningfully to things that matter. The fact that the RAW Travel team really value working for a company with a purpose beyond just profit is very gratifying for Dave and he makes sure RAW Travel stays true to their commitments and builds a culture where that can continue to be a key value.

As the original initiator of B-Corp at RAW Travel, Dave has been intimately involved in all the B-Corp initiatives RAW Travel has taken over the years. Dave is also the lead for the B-Corp re-certification process, though now he is excited to have other team members onboard for the next 3 year renewal!
