Yoga Instructor (Portuguese Camino)
Arantxa Pérez
Arantxa has been fascinated by ancient cultures and history since childhood. She grew up in Santiago de Compostela and a willingness to learn from other cultures led her to study Art History. After she finished her degree she discovered yoga, which she has been practising since 2006, including Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin and Ashtanga. In 2015, she completed a yoga teacher training course and began teaching at AlmaZen de Yoga Studio (www.almazendeyoga.com).
After completing her Art History degree, Arantxa began her PhD thesis in Contemporary Architecture. Her studies gave her the opportunity to live abroad in Rome, Paris and Delft (the Netherlands) and to attend international courses and conferences where she shared experiences with people from all over the world.
Arantxa now splits her time working in research and cultural management and teaching yoga to people of all different ages, cultures, physical conditions and backgrounds.
In her spare time she loves travelling, reading, listening to music, trekking and fencing.
Arantxa is especially happy when she gets to share her knowledge of Galicia and Santiago de Compostela with RAW Travel clients, showing them a little of the magic of this land, its landscape, history and art.
