You'll love walking in Switzerland.

The Swiss make is so easy to hike here! Even if you have limited hiking experience, the Swiss Alps could be your most perfect walking holiday.

The majestic Matterhorn has a magical attraction and the Five Lakes Walk is in a class of its own. On our trip, you will also take an exquisite winding mountain drive through the panoramic Grimsel Pass, one of the highest passes in the Swiss Alps and experience the serenity and epic views from Mt Titlis.

Thanks to the marvels of Swiss transport, no support van is needed on this trip; we often use cable cars to access the best high-altitude hikes.

It's not all physical! The towns and villages in the Swiss Alps are great places to relax. Taste traditional fondues and mouthwatering mountain cuisine, or sip a cocktail or two on a sun terrace while soaking up the stunning mountain scenery.

In the wonderful rural town of Engelberg, indulge in cheese tasting and stock-up for friends back home!

Just loved everything about this area of the Alps. The Matterhorn, OMG, so majestic, my first view of it from the village actually made me weak at the knees! The glacial valleys, the snow-covered peaks, the views from Gornergrat, the lakes, the rugged trails, the waterfall – all magnificent and worth the effort to explore.

I loved the stunning Swiss scenery, the sound of cowbells in the fields, and the opportunity to visit Alpine dairies and cheese makers on some of our hikes.

when to trek the swiss alps.

June through September is the best time to walk in the Swiss Alps. July is the warmest month (it doesn’t get that hot in the mountains) and the wildflowers are in bloom; usually, there is not much rain in July.

The winter starts early and ends late in the mountain towns. August is also a good month for hiking, but you can get snow. September is also good weather, but by October it can get very cold.
