UK Destination Specialist
Leanne Troy
With more than 30 years’ experience travelling the world and working across the travel industry, Leanne brings a wealth of knowledge, insight and genuine care to every walking journey she helps create. She understands exactly what travellers need to feel supported, inspired and excited about their next adventure.
Leanne is passionate about walking in the UK and has recently explored some of its most iconic long-distance trails, including Scotland’s Isle of Arran, Hadrian’s Wall, Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Path, the Cotswold Way, the South Downs Way and Cornwall’s spectacular South West Coast Path. With extensive first-hand experience, she offers honest, practical advice and is meticulous in planning every detail of her clients’ trips.
Leanne’s love of travel extends far beyond the UK. She has journeyed widely through Asia, Europe, Scandinavia, the USA and Canada. She walked Japan’s sacred Kumano Kodo, immersing herself in the serenity of the forests, the traditional onsens and the exquisite local cuisine, before taking on the legendary Tour du Mont Blanc through France, Italy and Switzerland – a challenge she loved for its alpine scenery and fresh mountain air.
Leanne’s career path has been wonderfully varied. During the Covid years she stepped into several different roles – working in a 5-star hotel, a corporate retreat venue, wholesale wine sales, a drive-through testing site, and even home-based aged care. Each role strengthened her skills in service, organisation and people care, and ultimately reaffirmed where she truly belongs: crafting unforgettable walking journeys for travellers who share her passion for exploring the world on foot.
Leanne speaks basic Indonesian and Japanese and is always eager to practise her languages while sampling local food – one of her greatest joys when travelling!
Away from work, Leanne loves getting outdoors with her three sons, exploring new trails close to home and dreaming up her next big adventure. High on her future walking list are Norway’s Lofoten Islands, the Albanian Alps and Scotland’s West Highland Way.
