Destination Specialist (Japan)

Dianne Lee

Growing up on a remote farm in central Victoria, Di had the opportunity to live in sync with nature and her love of health, fitness and the great outdoors began. After travelling to Denmark as an exchange student, the travel bug hit and Di joined the travel industry, initially as a tour guide/cook and then further roles within the travel industry.

Di has travelled extensively through Japan, Europe, India, Kashmir, South America, New Zealand and Australia, with the Inca Trail and Swiss Alps being highlights. As a keen distance runner, two memorable events include the Ferrari Marathon in Italy and the Nagai Marathon in Japan.

Di visited Japan numerous times while her daughter lived there and experienced first hand the lifestyle, culture, history and unique scenery. Enjoying Japan’s natural beauty through the various seasons, from the serenity and tranquility of the Hokkaido mountains, to the historical cities of Kyoto and Hiroshima and smaller villages along the less travelled routes, Di has many memorable experiences. Favourites are sacred shrines, relaxing onsens, delicious Japanese cuisine, vivid autumn colours, and the traditions and festivals proudly preserved and celebrated by the Japanese people. Di is looking forward to sharing her love and knowledge of Japan and all it has to offer.

Complementing her vocation of health and fitness, Di has had her own personal training business for many years and loves assisting clients train for their trekking or running goals. Di also set up and managed a Health & Wellness Centre that focused on all aspects of physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

Exploring new sights, learning about history, and having the opportunity to be immersed into a culture is a passion, and Di’s curiosity for adventure continues.
