Angela McLean

Ange looks after our Camino Operations. She has been part of RAW Travel for more than 13 years and in that time she has witnessed a small family run company transform into the vibrant and innovative organisation it is today.

Ange began her RAW life working on charity challenges. A few of her most memorable adventures include trekking in Nepal in the Langtang Valley; cycling through Laos, Cambodia, Southern China and Vietnam; and even competing in RAW’s own Amazing Race in support of the Cancer Council Victoria.

Ange’s other travel highlights include visiting the village of Tamba in Japan where ceramic artists are treated like rock stars, trekking the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory, sailing around the Galapagos Islands, and visiting the incredible cave city of Matera in the region of Basilicata in Italy.

Having been fortunate enough to visit many wonderful places in Australia and abroad, nothing captured her heart more than a trip with her parents to their hometown of San Marco in Lamis in Southern Italy. They left in the 1950s and never had the opportunity to return until 60 years later! For Ange, this incredible experience is what travel is about – the journey and the precious memories it creates.

Travel continues to be a huge part of Ange’s life. Next up she hopes to add Mexico, Cuba and Corsica to her travel memories.
