About This Tour

This has to be one of the best mountain biking trips going for all it has to offer and all within 12 days. Dropped by plane amidst 7000 meter peaks and the historic Annapurna's, the 1st peak ever climbed in Nepal and Tibet just to the north and some 5000 meters descent into Pokhara Valley over 7 days.

We fly you in from Pokhara directly to Jomson at 2720m alt. (for the half-circuit of the Annapurna route) and ride to the edge of the Thorung La pass, at about 5416m alt. Over the next 7 days we take you to holy lakes, razor ridgetop trails, single trail descents over 100's of meters deep, heart pumping climbs through mystic Mustang border villages and ultimately descend through the jaws of the deepest canyon in the world!

Finally you'll catch a couple of days rest in Pokhara lazing around Phewa Tal Lake to return to reality and have time for the accomplishment to sink in, in the luxury of your exclusive Himalayan Residence, 'The Retreat' where you can take in amazing views over Phewa lake and the Annapurna's from your terrace.

This exceptional trip offers intermediate and above bikers a rare opportunity to hone their skills and test their talents with climbs and downhills that let it all hang out. Monasteries that few would ever chance to pass and villages with local produce the envy of Nepal, like mouth watering apple cider and landscapes unique only to this region as you transit rugged mountain passes and descend shady forest trails to the terraced valleys of lakeside Pokhara.

You'll pass through small mountain villages en-route and still have time in the bustling historic city of Kathmandu, there is plenty of opportunity to meet the incredibly friendly people of this country and absorb their rich culture all within 15 days and you'll be delighted with the result.

For those of you who prefer off-road, single-track riding, this is the opportunity to get off the roads and take advantage of one of Nepal's most popular treks by bike! These trails will challenge even the most avid downhiller.

One of the highlights of this Bike Nepal journey is undoubtedly the spine-tingling descents down through the World's Deepest Gorge of the Kali Gandaki. This continuous descent amidst some of the most famous Himalayan peaks has been described by many as the high point of their mountain biking lives.

We have returned safely from our trip to Nepal and I wanted to provide some feedback (all positive) on our mountain bike trip. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience/challenges. Raw Travel's organisation, planning and information dissemination was great. The fact the trip could be run for 2 people, at a time that suited us, set you apart from other tour companies.
Co-ordination could not be faulted and our guide (Rosan) was great. Rosan was knowledgeable, attentive and certainly made sure all went to plan. The accommodation and food were great, although the Nepalese seem to have a different definition for hot water to that which I'm used to! Bikes were fine also. All in all a most successful experience and I would certainly recommend it to others.
