Sarah Wilson

Sarah comes to RAW Travel with a background in administration and event management. Starting out in banking in head office operations she moved across to the wine industry which led her to working with a wine tour company designing itineraries and leading tours for corporate and social groups in Victoria’s Yarra Valley & Mornington Peninsula Wine Regions.

More recently Sarah has worked in the events industry managing the itinerary requirements for conference delegates and is a volunteer leader with a Body Positive Adventure group.

Her work over the years has provided her with unique experiences around the world from sipping a vintage Blanc de Blanc in the private gardens at Moët & Chandon in Épernay France to hosting a fundraising High Tea and Charity Golf day in Papua New Guinea.

Since starting with RAW Travel, Sarah has walked the Sarria to Santiago Camino and plans to walk the remainder of the French way in stages. For leisure, Sarah has flown around Australia in a light aircraft, hiked sections of the Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia, spent time with a tribe on the island of Palawan in The Philippines and has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

When travelling Sarah enjoys hearing the stories of the people she meets along the way and immersing herself in the local culture. Sarah loves the immersion that a walking adventure offers – slowing down and taking time to appreciate the sights, people and culture.

On her adventure wishlist is exploring Nepal, Coastal Camino Portugal, Kumano Kodo and dog sledding in the Yukon.
