Mark started out in the Sports and Fitness industry but after a long holiday travelling through Europe he caught the travel bug and decided to turn his love of travel into a career! He now has more than 10 years’ experience in the travel industry, including as a tour guide leading large groups all over Europe and working for two of Australia’s largest tour companies, both in the office and on the road as a Sales Manager.

With a passion for experiencing new cultures and food, and seeing some truly unique destinations and sights, Mark likes to travel to a new destination every year. He has been lucky enough to visit over 50 countries throughout Europe, Asia, South America, North America, Oceania and the Middle East.

Mark’s biggest walk was in Peru where he trekked the Inca Trail during Christmas, while his favourite holiday destinations would have to be Japan for the mixture of technology and peacefulness, New Zealand for the landscape, Croatia for the coastline and Brazil for the parties and laid-back nature.

Mark recently completed the two hikes we offer in Japan – the ancient trails of the Kumano Kodo and the centuries-old Nakasendo Way in the Kiso Valley.
