A 12-month stay in China when Amy was aged 12 inspired her love of travel and worldwide exploration. After completing an Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management Amy spent several years working in the travel industry in Melbourne before heading over to the USA where she worked for an international walking company for 3 years. Many incredible travel and walking experiences later, Amy brings her passion and enthusiasm back to Melbourne and the RAW Travel team.

Amy loves travel experiences that offer an authentic opportunity to truly immerses herself in the local culture, food, wildlife and traditions of a destination.

Amy recently returned from Africa for the third time. She trekked through the forests of Rwanda to see the mountain gorillas, went on safari in Namibia to track rhinos on foot, hot-air ballooned over the grand dunes of Sossuvlei, and discovered some insights into the lives of the Himba tribes.

Amy visited the green mountains of Vermont and explored the quaint French villages of Quebec City last year. Most recently she walked Japan’s Nakasendo Way. Next up she plans to trek through South America.
