Portuguese Coastal Camino Customer Experiences

Portuguese Coastal Camino

wow, wow, wow!

“We liked doing the Coastal Way as we saw both the sea and the countryside. Our highlights were staying in many historic cities. We really liked Santiago, walking along the Atlantic coast and meeting lovely people on a similar quest. The accommodation was excellent especially the Paradors in Baiona and Santiago de Compostela…Wow Wow Wow! We did the Kumano Kodo in 2016 and because we completed both we received a warm welcome at the Tourist Office in Santiago and received a special pin, which was a nice touch to complete our journeys.”

Unforgettable experience

“The scenery along the way was breathtaking, the locals warm and friendly and fellow walkers helpful and encouraging. This trip exceeded my expectations! Thanks RAW Travel for the amazing experience. Your attention to detail in planning my Camino made for an unforgettable experience. Everything went like clockwork. Luggage transfers happened without a hitch, and our accommodation was at times nothing short of spectacular! I will certainly be returning to take part in your other adventures.”

Wonderful, Supportive Guides

“Thank you for facilitating my recent renewal of mind, body and spirit. Germán, our local guide, and Arantxa our kind and gentle yoga instructor, are superb ambassadors for their country, culture and RAW Travel. I encourage anyone considering this trip to give it a go. There is no doubt that fronting up day after day is hard on a mature body, however, the reward of great food and accomodation, and personal growth far outweigh a bit of discomfort.”

We Love Portugal!

"The vast majority of our accommodation was fantastic. Our luggage transfers went pretty much without a glitch. The distances planned out for each day were very well calculated. We loved Portugal! The first couple of days out of Lisbon were uninspiring but after that, it was fabulous – not too crowded."

wandering the wild coast

"We loved getting off the tourist trail (we did meet a few others doing the Camino, but not that many), wandering through little villages, through woods and along the wild coast. We just wanted to do the walk without the whole pilgrim thing, and we really enjoyed it. The accommodation places were very well located and comfortable.

Perfect Group Size

“Lived up to the experience I was expecting. Perfect group size and well organised arrangements prior to the trip. We were gifted with the most perfect weather so a great time of year to run a trip. Yoga sessions were tailored to our walking needs and very beneficial. The final session in a beautiful park in Santiago de Compostela with music was a delight. Thank you to our yoga instructor, Arantxa.”

breathtaking trip

"Walked the Portuguese Coastal Camino in June and it was breathtaking. Beaches, villages, countryside, cities – you experience it all. Loved the homely accommodation and help with the transport of my luggage. This enabled me to enjoy every day and take my time from getting from A to B! Definitely going again to explore another Camino…hopefully sooner than later."
