The Amazing Race Across SE Asia
The Amazing Race is the most action-packed, unique holiday you can ever imagine. Roam the countryside and cities in search of clues, conquering challenges and having a ball with your new found best mate, as you battle it out with other teams for bragging rights.
You'll need a few tricks up your sleeve to win RAW's Amazing Race. Loosely based on the TV series, our version is a rollicking adventure across Vietnam, Cambodia and a new route through Laos
What will you and your new found partner experience in challenges thrown your way?
Racing across countries and borders?
Chasing other teams through canals of the Mekong Delta on a boat?
Convince a Laotian Mahout to let you ride his elephant?
Leave a red herring for the other teams as you search for clues around Angkor Wat?
How does it work?
If you join as a single and you can either choose a partner or we can assign you one. Then you'll need a mobile phone and a digital camera to take part ( we supply the sim cards). Then prepare to have the most fun you've ever had!
You'll find yourself on a boat cruising down the Mekong River, cycling through Cambodian villages and testing your knowledge and wits through the Temples of Angkor Wat or the monasteries and palaces of Laos. There's no innocent bystanders here- you'll need to interact with the locals and gain intimate knowledge about each location.
An experienced team of Western leaders and local guides test your cunning in some some truly amazing places. There are daily challenges that will contribute to your progressive score, and the winning team will snare $1000 cash or their choice of complimentary RAW adventure.
After each fun-filled day, you'll return to the best accommodation available and enjoy the delicious cuisine for which this part of the world is famous. RAW has been operating the Amazing race across Asia since 2006, this will be our sixth race and the experience has always been - amazing!
The activities that your might find yourself doing involve a mixture of cerebral, social and physical skills that don’t favour any one particular skill set. There is an emphasis on interaction with locals and racers must be prepared to step right out of their comfort zone.
Daily points are awarded to the first team past the post each day and there are extra points for country stage winners. To keep the race from becoming predictable ‘wild cards’ are given that can catapult one team ahead of another.

NO SINGLE SUPPLEMENTS
RAW Travel welcomes single travellers and does not require anyone to pay a surcharge for travelling alone. On all of our adventures we will arrange for you to share accommodation with another traveller of the same sex and if we cannot match you up we will provide a single room at no extra charge ( group trips). If you prefer not to share a room then just pay a single supplement to guarantee your own room. Most of our travellers join trips on their own seeking a social experience!
