Ride through Cambodia
A ride through the length of Cambodia, taking in all the famous sights but also venturing off the beaten track to experience the vibrant village life that is the true soul of the country.
We begin at the huge ancient city of Angkor Wat, a well travelled attraction in Cambodia, where we've planned the pedalling to make sure you see each of the main temples at the right time of day, where the sunlight is at its most magical and the crowds are at their smallest. Next stop are the atmospheric and as yet uncommercialized ruins at Beng Melea, a magical spot. Put your feet up at the sleepy riverside city of Kampong Cham before we head off on one of our favourite rides through villages along the Mekong River.
Our tour through Phnom Penh will show you the well known sights but also some of the hidden charms of the capital, before continuing further south into the country. More ancient ruins, mighty rivers, beautiful beaches, rice paddies, mountainous national parks and abandoned French hill stations are all on our route. The beaches of the old colonial resort of Kep Sur Mer make a fitting end to our adventure. Enjoy some down time in a wonderful hillside resort overlooking the stunning tropical coastline. This is a real journey of discovery in a perfect environment for cycle touring - the beauty of Cambodia up close and personal.
The terrain makes for easy cycling but this trip is still fully supported by air-conditioned vehicle, so you can ride as much or as little as you want. When you rest each evening, you'll enjoy excellent local food and the very best accommodation available.

Testimonials

"The trip organised by Raw Travel was truly one of the best experiences of my life. The countryside of Cambodia is amazing and you feel like a part of hte landscape when your cycling through it. Seeing everything up close and personal was what really made this trip stand out from all other tripsI have done."

'What a wonderful week...Our experiences were many and varied from the magnificent temples of Angkor Wat, to the village life along the Mekong River and the bustling city of Phnom Penh. Raw Travel made us feel like we were experiencing Cambodia all on our own. It was like they were invisible except when we needed them - to re-energise and re-hydrate. I have no hesitation in recommending Raw Travel to others looking for a challenge and life-changing experience'.

"The RAW travel cycle trip through Cambodia and Vietnam is amazing. Riding through these countries is such a great way to take them all in. The tour guides and local guides facilitate all your needs, provide you with a real challenge and add the intractible advantage of local knowledge. It's a real challenge but I would recommend it to everyone. I've never left a trip feeling so fulfilled".
