About This Tour

A legendary trek in the shadows of a legendary mountain. Mount Everest tells all in this thirteen day thumper. Choose this itinerary and you'll beat a breathtaking trail through the heart of Solu Khumbu, home of the highest mountains - and one of the most fascinating people - in the world.

Mount Everest, or Sagamartha, as the Sherpa's call her, sits within an awe inspiring mountain region in which time seems to have stood still. The cultural treasures of this magical place are more than a match for the magnificent scenery, so much so that you'll have trouble deciding what blew your mind away most - the sights you see or the Sherpa's you meet.

You'll experience everything the other tourists see, such as the famous beauty of Thyangboche monastery, stupa's, and thriving bazaars, but you'll also get away from the main trails to take in timeless villages and outposts hidden away from most western eyes.

Even though you're fully supported by professionals on this trek, it can still be demanding in places - you're on the move for up to 7 hours a day and going as high as 3873m - so we've made up for it by making sure you have a superbly luxurious sleep each night. We've chosen the best mountain lodges available where you'll also enjoy an excellent standard of local cuisine, so leave your sleeping bag and stove behind!

And when all the walking is done, you're richly rewarded with two free days to explore the wonders of the Kathmandu valley (or sleep, it's totally up to you).

Testimonials

John Eaves
- Everest Explorer
I'd wanted to go to Nepal for years but always a bit intimidated by the thought of trekking at my age. What I experienced on this trip just blew me away and I know I'll be going back again. The level of care and support from your team was exceptional and they are to be commended.
