Destination Specialist

Tori Brown

Tori joined RAW Travel in 2015 as a Camino Destination Expert and more recently added New Zealand’s South Island and Australia’s Mornington Peninsula to her list of specialist destinations. Tori’s diverse travel industry experience includes retail travel consulting and organising private group travel/corporate conferences. She has also worked as a South America travel specialist.

Tori has travelled extensively since since a solo visit to Copenhagen at age 17. She loves the way travel has opened her eyes and heart and given her experiences that have become her most treasured memories.

Tori’s travel highlights include climbing Villarrica – one of Chile’s most active volcanoes, trekking the Helambu Trail in Nepal and walking sections of Spain’s iconic Camino Francés. Tori loves the diverse landscapes and food specialities on this famous pilgrimage route and how much if offers to walkers of all ages and backgrounds. She plans to return to Spain to complete the León to Sarria section with her two children.

Tori’s love of mountain scenery and the outdoors led her to spend time travelling in New Zealand, including all the major centres. She recently completed the Queen Charlotte Track, travelling solo on our self-guided itinerary. With its lush rainforests, waterfalls, streams, ridges, saddles and the most stunning views every day over the turquoise waters of Marlborough Sounds – accompanied by incredible food, wine and hospitality – Tori rates it one of her favourite destinations.

Tori is well-equipped to assist RAW’s clients bring their New Zealand travel dreams to life. She also has great advice about the curious and native and weka – the funniest little flightless birds that pop out of nowhere along the most remote sections of the track!
