Craig Hilder
Craig Hilder is a nomadic plumber with a passion for places wild and untouched. He has just returned from a 12 month stint in Antarctica at Casey station where he managed to juggle plumbing skills with experiencing the changing seasons of the world’s last great wilderness.
Raised on a farm in the small town of Kyabram in North East Victoria he left to see the world at the age of 21 beginning with a 9 month trip to Canada and the USA where the accidental discovery of cycle touring, sparked a desire to see the world on two wheels. Cycling missions to date include trips across the USA, Canada, Europe, China, Sri Lanka, Tibet, Nepal and a recent cycle from Broome to Darwin across the potholed expanses of the Gibb river road
When not on his bike or keeping his plumbing skills current, Craig can be found with backpack on walking the wilds of the world. Craig has accumulated a considerable wealth of travel and adventure experience, and his work with RAW includes cycling trips for in China, Tibet - Nepal and the Great Ocean walk. As we write he's headed for a long stint on Macquarie Island in the Southern Ocean.
